Hang a little Prairie-style luxury on your tree. This Wrightsicle ornament is inspired by the art glass of the Dana-Thomas House in Springfield, Illinois. Susan Lawrence Dana, a progressive socialite, gave Wright an unlimited budget, and he filled the house with art glass doors, windows and light fixtures. Much of that glass is inspired by the sumac plant that grows across the Midwest, and it shows Wright’s talent for turning nature into geometric design. Here those patterns are cut into gleaming silver-tone panels that join into a long, three-dimensional icicle. It catches the light as it turns.
